They just remind me too much of those horrible 90's "catalog trucks" with 4 million useless chrome bolt on accessories from the JC Whitney catalog and I don't think anyone wants to be reminded of that dark chapter in automotive history... Ugh KC daylighters and louvers everywhere! WHY WERE THERE SO MANY LOUVERS IN THE 90'S!? LOUVERS ON EVERYTHING!!! :shok:

Otherwise that is one nice looking truck.
The louvers were an interesting trend for sure. Those bolt on accessories your referring to makes me think of this Ford ranger Zimmer, the most 90s looking truck on the planet.

My credo
Keep your mind like an umbrella, it only works if its open... Continually learning.
I vote to keep them off as well. Just another place that rust can start.

The louvers made sense for some things and really didn’t block your ability to see out that window. Like hatch back windows with a steep rake. They did indeed go overboard with them though and many created some pretty bad blind spots.

The value in the running boards (besides helping your midget friend enter the truck) is to keep rock chips off that shiny silver paint on the rocker panels. If you drive on a lot of gravel or sandy roads, then keep them. Otherwise, they just are a way to get your pants leg dirty on rainy or snowy days.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

I thought he was talking about all those custom punched louvers like these.

Window louvers, hood louvers, stick on chrome fender louvers, they put louvers on everything in the 90's! Pretty sure even mud flaps had louvers in the 90's.
