Hey guys,

just fitted a new set of General grabber At2 tyres on to my 99 Ranger, but now they are rubbing on the arches when goin into dips and over speed bumps. ive been looking at the body lift kits on summit racing.

ive found 3 that i think might work with my ranger any thoughts on them?

also i have a uk ranger, does anyone know if the body mounts are different on mine to the US Rangers?

Thanks

I have the same tires on my 2002 reg cab and have had no rubbing issues at all........maybe weak springs could be the culprit?"

The body mounts are all the same. You may have an additional body mount if you have the full crew cab, 4 door Euro/International Ranger.

American extended cab Rangers have a total of 6 cab mounts, but i remember from my last Ranger that the Performance Accessories kit came with 2 extra blocks.

Double-check with the manufacturer and see how many are included with their body lift kit sets. I would also go with this brand since they provide the bumper relocation brackets.

However, seeing as how you have a regular cab, I'm sure whatever is provided in the kit is sufficient.

4th Ranger, the OP (Blitz) also has a diesel in his '99 Ranger.

Blitz, does it look like the front end is sagging? You could temporarily crank your torsion bars to gain a bit more height. This will also make your front end more stiff, though.

i would crank my bars but my right-side torsion bar looks to be pulled up more than the left. but i may give it another go before i get the alignment checked.

thanks

since im gonna be hopefuly fitting a new suspension kit, once i have the funds, at the front. i had a look at my rear leafs. the axle is ontop of the leafs rather than underneath. is this normal for this year of truck or has a previous owner done an axle-flip on it.

it may save me some cash if i dont need to buy new leafs straight away.

I can't speak to UK Rangers, but if they are set up the same as US Rangers then it has been flipped. In the US the spring is over the axle on Rangers and under the axle on Explorers.

Any chance you could post a pic, maybe someone can tell if it has a flip kit installed.
