My 1992 4.0/auto extended cab Ranger runs exceptionally well even with 250K on the original motor.

But, every once in a while, if I backup and stop a little abruptly (like when you trying to back into a parking spot quickly on a busy street), and then park, when I first start it up some 5-30 minutes later, the idle is sometimes rough for 15-30 seconds. It eventually goes away if I let it idle high or start driving.

Wondering if anyone else has seen this rough idle problem following backing up? I have replaced many components on the engine and even had the ECU rebuilt so scratching my head as to what it could be.
