RIP Lil Tan

This happened on 3/18/12,

I was driving down the road at a modest 55mph, when a lady decided to come into my lane while search for her cell phone. I tried at the last moment to get out of her way( since she was in my lane, and coming directly at me), yet she still hit me pretty good.

I'd only had this B2 for a month and a half,but it was a great one. It had a hole in the side of it fm146, but it just leaked a little bit. It had manual windows and manual tcase. Last but not least, the 2.9 didn't even rattle.

I'll miss my lil tan b2, but the insurance company(the lady admitted 100% fault) is paying me extremely well. It is helping with my mourning. It will go rest in OKC at an unknown salvage yard. It was totalled pretty good, the frame was tweaked in places, ripped the rearend and front end out of place. Ripped my good driveshaft in half($#!*), body was all sorts of warped.

But, the money will provide new tires and a conservative body lift for my blue B2.

Thanks DG, everyone walked away. The vehicles all got hauled away. Her little sentra took quite the hit. It lost all its front sheet metal.

Ouch - glad you're all right. I guess that's a reason for having two RBV's - you'll always have one to drive. Somehow, it's better to seen one killed that way than through the cash for clunkers program.

sorry to be harsh, but i work in insurance claims and people causing accidents because they're doing dumb things really irritates me. she could've just as easily have hit you head on and you'd be eating out of a straw for the rest of your life.

I was apparently grabbing a gear and heading out of her way. Right was a steep ditch and left was my only reasonable way out. I was hoping she'd turn back. When she didn't, I wednt left hard....

The one I posted on FB has her holding her lost cell phone. Lol. The police were able to pull cell records immediately.

Honestly, I'd rather have my B2 back in good shape. There are very few good parts left on the truck. I've went to the lot where it rests and tried to find some good, its just not there. The tranny was almost shot anyways. The engine was good, no telling what the impact did.


I'm mainly pissed about my driveshaft. It came from the factory, a u-joint driveshaft. It was ripped in half. The 1350 tcase was in good shape. Once again, no telling what the impact did.
