So i am the proud owner of a 1999 ranger 4x4 supercab. currently i am looking for some rims, as my stock rims are ugly. my requirements are that they are black and semi cheap, as i am a college student with no money. In the future i plan on upgrading to 31s or 32s, but i can only afford rims currently.

I was planning on staying with a 15inch rim, and i like these:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsw-57rf3 but i am not sure about backspacing and the width of the rim, etc. and if they will fit with my stock size(i think 28in tires).

Does anyone know about the quality of these rims? And does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks Guys

Most guys run American Racing or Crager wheels, they seem pretty happy with them. IIRC both have the "D slot" look like the ones you have listed if you can't find the right backspacing in your wheel of choice. I have never heard of that brand before.

Bassett mainly does racing wheels, We have a lot of dirt track racers that run them.
you should start checking the local salvage yards for some cheap wheels.

Those race wheels are thinner than cragars... especially by the bead, where you would want them to be thick for offroading. I got the cragar v5's on both my truck and girlfriends jeep amd love them. Id go with cragar or blackrock wheels, but stay away from the rough finish, is a pain to clean.

I do not plan on doing any real crazy offroading, its mostly a dd and occasionally some logging roads and around my property, so i am not too worried about strength. Will the bassett rims hold up?

and i found these:

I like them as well, but they are twice the price. quality?

I have wheels very similar to the ones above but without the simulated beadlock ring and they are cheaper. Here are the ones I have.

I have had them for probably 5 years or more and I have not had any problem with them at all, and even with doing off roading and airing down to 15 psi a few times. I have 31's mounted on mine. Sorry I don't have any real good clean pics of them.

Check out Dinosaur Automotive, there at 192nd & Meridian which is close to your location, they had a nice set of ION alloy wheels for sale at $340 for the set. What are your stock wheels, steel or aluminum. I saw these "4 american racing truck wheels size 15 bolt pattern 5x4.5 - $120 (renton)" posted on craigslist even have tires on them check these out.

This is cool to find with in a week 3 other members here in Wa. Just met WILD HORSE today & he gave me 3 automatic trannies. Should set up to met you in person as well

I'm just running some 15x7 Cragar Soft-8's. I've had hem for a year and a half and have had no problems whatsoever.

BTW they're spelled C-R-A-G-A-R, not C-R-A-G-E-R.

Mine are the Duratracs, I love them. They aren't super loud on the road but you can still hear them. They ride well and handle good in the rain. Off road they are great too, especially for not being a true mud terrain tire. Overall I'm very happy with them, I had the old style mt-r's before and they were really loud and sucked in the rain and wore out quick on the street. The Duratracs are the best of both worlds, good on and off the road.

Nathan, man it doesn't matter what the hub center is, the studs are what carry all the weight. some manufacturers used the hub centric design to make it easier to mount the wheels during assembly. Most aftermarket wheels are lug centric because of the many hub bores but common bolt patterns.
