The first thing I thought when I saw it was, "it looks sweet as hell, but those rims gotta go".
Dude that thing is looking sweet! I have to agree though the wheels need a change. Not necessarily gotta go but need to change. I recommend something in a matching white.

I have a good friend that owns a powder coating business. What do you think of me having him re-coat these wheels?
I agree it's worth a shot, you've got the wheels and you aren't out much if you don't like it. I'd recommend painting them though since you can't p-coat the center cap, and it my be hard to get a white sprayed on it to match the p-coating.

I would say, DO IT! It's not anything that I have seen yet
While I have seen it once (can't remember where) I have to agree. IIRC there may have been a few mustangs that had them white from the factory, wasn't many if there was.

Wow. Looks great! Perhaps I should get my 92 GT 'Vert repainted! The corners fenders at the front are all faded, and my front bumper is pitted.

I think a white powdercoated wheel would look excellent.

Congrats on your new baby, Shane!

Here's a couple more photos I took today. The sun wasn't poking out much, so there's a lot of shadows that don't allow you to see how good it really looks. I probably looked like a drunk driving the thing, as I was was swerving around pot holes and puddles.

And here is where she will sit for the winter. This is my friend's transmission shop.

I was actually worried about this as well. He has paint that matches the powder coating so the center caps will be the same color. He's got a set of pony rims he's doing soon, so I'll have to see how it turns out.

Looks good! I would put the "5.0" emblems back on it and go with a set of the 17" pony style wheels!! I always thought that 16's on a fox body looked too small. Another great choice wheel would be the OE 94-97 Cobra wheel but that would require a change to 5-lug which is not really hard to do!!Seenig your 89 REALLY makes me miss my 91GT:bawling:. I wish I never had traded that in on a POS 94 GT that I was the victim of odometer fraud on- the 94 said it had 100xxx miles on it but really had closer to 250xxx on it!!

I have brand new 5.0 emblems, I just need to put them on. I really want 17's as well, but these tires seriously only have about 700 miles on them. That's why I want to see how my friends pony's look before I jump.

I hope you were able to prove the odometer fraud on your 94 and get the jackasses in trouble with the fuzz. That stuff pisses me off! Do you have any pics of your 91?

LOL, no problem. I'm always trying to find stuff for my wife to get me for Christmas. I might need it to be all new carpet for the Stang this year. I got a bunch of stuff through LRS, they are easy to deal with, but their shopping cart on their website sucks. I had to call them for both orders I made.

What year is yours?
