Has anyone here used TYC replacement headlight assemblies? I tried them the other morning and they are almost useless. To some degrees it could be the bulbs they shipped with them though. Light was sharply cut off low in front of the truck and it looked like the filament in the bulb patterned on one side. Poorly dispersed light. Anyone here have any experience with replacing their assemblies? I haven’t found oem even if they are still available somewhere.

Got a link for them?

I've always just stuck with the factory lights... just polish them up when necessary.

Seems most parts rhese days are a buyer beware situation.

Did you try swapping your old bulbs in to compare?

Bulbs do make a difference.

Might be worth doing before you deem the assembly/reflectors unworthy.

Some folks even go as far as to drive the bulbs with relays controlled by existing headlamp wiring and clean battery power through the relay to the bulbs. There is some deficiency in the factory lamp harness (age being part of the equation) that this mod corrects.

I will replace bulbs and go from there.
