Replacement floor pan in a 1994

Has anyone tried/installed a first gen replacement floor pan in a second gen truck? If so, which areas have fitment problems?

Apparently you can make it work with a little modification. How bad are your floors? If they are thin with minor pinholes you can go to the store and get some fiberglass cloth and some fiberglass. Clean all the rust off, and lay fiberglass over the area. Makes a very strong and good looking repair.

Thanks Franklin2. I saw that thread but it didn't sound like anyone had actually done a second gen pan installation. I can get by with fiberglass on the passengers side but the drivers side would go a lot better with a pan replacement. I may go ahead and order a pan and see how it goes.

You should remove the side kick panels. There will be more rust up there.

Thanks, I have. Took the photos before I removed them as well as the sound deadening. Passengers side is solid. Drivers side is somewhat missing.

I would not be afraid to order that older panel. I just put one in my 84 Bronco II. That was the proper application and it still needed some hammer work and cutting to fit correctly. I am sure you could do some bending and cutting and make the older panel fit. That rib pattern in the middle of yours looks a little different. But I am thinking if you cut all your rib pattern out, the other panel would lay in there better after you did some bending and trimming.

Definitely going to remove everything on the driver side. I want to expose the floor supports for wire brushing, ospho, and paint. I might just go ahead and order pans for both sides.
