Does anyone have a clue as to how to remove the wires from Gen 1 loom plugs?

I used the wrong cleaner on one of mine now the connection won't stay locked in the plastic plug.

I can't figure how to get the plug to release the other connections so I can replace it.

Thanks

Rich

Which plug? Most of them you pull the red thing out and push the retainer up.

Grey plugs that have main power. Lt. Grey 8 pin, left inside fender.

I have 2 to replace with, one has the red piece the other is tan.
How do I get that piece out?

Thanks

Rich

Thanks
