I am going to remove my transmission to get to the rear main seal, while I'm at it I thought I'd replace the clutch and slave cylinder....

I found this kit... http://www.allreplacement.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=4526&path=1_2_3_4

and I want to know if you guys think it's a good idea or if anyone has used it.

My other choice is Advance Auto and their... http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__15330063-P_244_R%7CGRP60006____

OR... Should I go with OEM or any other brand, lemme hear it!

If you're already dropping the tranny, I'd definitely replace the clutch and slave while you're in there. Then you won't have to get in there again for a while. Go with a Luk clutch if you can, that's the stock clutch.

Will the Luk be worth the premium price. It's like 290 almost 300 for the kit versus like 170-180 for an aftermarket one...

Maybe I should spend the money lol...

Have you checked eBay? I found a Luk clutch kit on there when I was doing my clutch for $150 + shipping. It included the friction disk, pressure plate, pilot bearing, extra throwout bearing, and a couple other things.

My credo
If it ain't broke...fix it before it does.
Get that flywheel surfaced. Good time to do the pan gasket if it is leaking too.

Good point Brutto, I forgot about that. Either resurface the flywheel or just get a new one..they're usually about as cheap to buy as they are to resurface and you don't have any downtime.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
you could replace the 3.0 with a hemi, but you may want to install a different transmission after thaT.

seriously, your plan seems reasonable to me.
