Remote door locks

Hi, the 2011 Ranger XLT I just bought has power door locks but it didn't come with a remote fob. I looked at the owner's manual on line here and it say's 'if so equipped', how can I figure out if it has the capability to use a remote?

try the learn procedure for new fobs to see if it goes into learn mode. learn mode is accesed by getting in the driver seat, closing the door, pressing the unlock button on the door once, then cycle the key from off to on 8 times ending in on, the door locks should lock and unlock to confirm that it is in learn mode. Once it is in learn mode you can add keyfobs by pressing any button on each fob, once you're done, just turn the key off.

That worked! I went ahead and bought a couple of fobs from Amazon. Thanks
