This event was the peak of TRS for me. I was motivated; we were doing things together a few times a year. Now, 5 years on, it's just a website. It's a good website, but not having a couple events a year has really hurt things.

I think we should have a TRS event every year no matter where or what it is. It doesn't have to be spectacular--just a simple thing as we had in the past.

I wish I could be a little more involved myself but I'm so far away from most members. The closest RBV enthusiasts that are members here live 3-4 hours from me. That leaves any trail rides out.

3-4 is far for you? there are a few guys about that far from me and i would go join them for a ride if i had the truck to do it. heck, i would drive further than that. i love to drive and i love to wheel but i cant afford to build anything capable of keeping up with these guys. i dont have to tools or the knowhow either, but it would be fun.

I would definitely go to an event but as said before I am pretty sure I'm the only (active) member in South Dakota and probably within a couple hundred miles.

what if we try doing a event in each state to start things off. and then get regional get togethers once a year.

i would drive to Rapid to wheel with you. its only 8 hrs on 90. the hard part is finding time to do it.

the regional chapter thing could be interesting, but around here i dont know how many would show up.

and stock is NEVER fun.:annoyed::pissedoff:

It would be awesome to have an annual event..but as others have stated it's tough for some to get to the Midwest-ish area where the events are held, just because of distance. However, it would also be cool if we tried the regional get-togethers first and see how that goes.

I don't know anyone on this site, and worst of all, I don't even have any friends that wheel! :icon_confused::bawling::annoyed:
The wheeling (if you can even call it that) I do is pretty weak in my stock truck since I'm not willing to do anything where I may potentially get stuck when I'm alone.

Thanks for posting this, Will. Didn't realize it had been six years since the roundup I went to at Sparkz place.

that seems like it was a lot of fun. the problem with my truck is that it cant wheel being 2wd. the only thing i can wheel is the 70 Bronco. and it cant even drive on the highway. I would love to get to go to a meet though

Ahh..... the good ol days.

I'd like to do a fall or late summer run somewhere. I was loking at a F350 yesterday. Figured I'd get rid of the 150 for a 350, borrow a gooseneck from a friend and haul two trucks for me and the wife and go wheeling. At least then I'd know for sure that I had someone to wheel with.

To much wheeling going on around here from behind the keyboard. Not enough going on behind the wheel.
