im 6'6" and i got a single cab 86. i had 2 10s behind my seats, didnt work too good. i had to pull the seats up, got tired of being cramed in there.

nice set up if you weren't so tall.... how deep was your box?

nice to see that i don't have the oldest car that wants to put audio in it :)

I wasnt happy with any of the solutions available to me with shallow mounts, always seemed like a whole lot of compromise.
So, Im going for a full size 12" and a 1000W amp.
How am I fitting this 10" deep behemoth?
Cutting a blowthrough.

I've been running that amp for about 3 years now, I've had no problems with it even dropped it once, and i have yet to have it get so hot the fan kicks in. But the bad news, good luck finding a dealer for them, and they pull a high price but it is in the top 5 brands for SQ amps.
not even close to being top 5. hell they wouldnt even be on my list. but heres my top 5

Brax
Sinfoni
Audison
Zapco

and definitly not least TRU TECHNOLOGY

Box behind the passenger seat and one of the amps behind the driver seat. This way the driver seat can go all the way back

well do you still remember what brand and model the subs were? i am really interested in it, because at 6 inches, i could have my seat all the way back.

Same - I'd be interested in finding a box that allowed me to keep the seats as far back as possible. I'd be completely happy using 8" subs if that's what it took. Just want to keep all the cab space I've got.

well if your interested in 8's, the Sundown E8 is one of the best in its pricerange. a close competitor would be the JBL GTO-804. both model up real well and only nead about .3-.35 sealed.

I've seen a few subs that can work with that volume, but I'm really looking for an inexpensive box that fits the area well.
