Okay time to start a poll on this and see what votes are for something like this.

Remember, this can be for your RBV or NON RBV that you have built. Its simple, same as voting for other people and whatnot. If somehow this actually goes somewhere further and somebody nominates for a honda with Blah blah blah engine, rims, etc...nothing says you dont have to vote for it. Dont like the choices by others, then find somebody that you like and put them up or dont do it at all, simple. All the TOTM are voted by us so its not like a honda as described above will be it and I really dont see anybody here with a honda like that, if you do power and good luck to you. RNTOTM is a fun thread but also for those kind of vehicles that dont see street type of offraoding type driving but more of a mix of them plus things that you have dont to them to make them special in your own way to help you in your daily life that is outside of play or stuff done to it to keep it on the road, wether it has a different comapny parts on it to lift it, power it down the road, etc...

I vote for it, but idk about one every month... maybe like redneck truck of the season. or maybe even redneck ride of the month, where it can be any car you see, but you have to take the picture.... this will give people something to do on the way into walmart. I don't think we could find a redneck truck of the month every month, especially without offending anyone.

on a side not though, if someone has gym equipment welded to their car, and they win rntotm, how much more gym equipment do they have to add to consider nominating it again?

It's just like the other TOTM things...you get once a year if you win. Would you really nominate somebody that has done such a thing to their vehicle though and/or vote it as a red neck thing...

I saw in the other thread that someone mentioned changing the name to budget truck of the month, or BTOTM. Redneck just isnt the best way to put it imo.

Since Rednecks are "simple-minded" ;missingteeth; .........

seems to me that dangerranger83 wants to keep his RNTOTM thread simple...

I vote................................................... :headbang: \\

.......even if it has to remain in the thread that he started :yahoo:

not mediocracy. i mean we should nominate people who made great modifications to their truck on a lower budget. just because it's cheap doesn't mean it is redneck

The OP wants to call it REDNECK truck of the month.... That right there means its redneck.

Ditch the redneck part. Call it Daily driver of the month, Budget build OTM, etc.

Redneck is a derogatory slang term used in reference to poor, uneducated white farmers, especially from the southern United States.
Is anyone truly proud to fit this description??? Is this how we want the site to be seen by newcomers, as a bunch of hillbilly rednecks????

It was far boo.com cheap to build my truck. I make 7.40 an hour and put 5000 or so grand into it USD. Plus being the only vehicle that I have to drive, everything on it has to be fine in a safe, quick, timely manner too. My truck is cheap and a very budget build and far from pretty to. All I hear from people is if mine is going to get a paint job. I tell them, that's the last thing you do, body work. Will it see paint, someday, but body work, not much.

Like me and many others, we do what we can to keep our vehicles on the road and do it with stuff we have laying around.

Redneck or budget, either will work.

I'm with Sno on this one. If I say something is Redneck, I'm making fun of it. When I hear "Redneck Ranger", the first truck I think of is that red Ranger that the Jammer kid drove. Why would we celebrate that? I believe most people feel the same way about the term Redneck.

I'm for making a budget build or budget modification TOTM, but I personally would be offended if someone called my truck a Redneck Truck.
