Is Cloyes a good kit?
Their hydraulic tensioners are good and have a better warranty than Motorcraft. I don’t what else they make that applies to the SOHC since I haven’t had to change them yet.

I've never really looked for hot rod 4.0L SOHC stuff before. I feel at 200 horse from a good running stocker... I'm pretty satisfied with performance.

Of course I like power... but at what price?

They have gone up a lot since I bought mine but it's worth the money, in my opinion. I feel a considerable difference with my truck tuned. I went with 5-Star tuning and I'm very happy!

Yes, I bought the hydraulic tensioners a few months ago hoping they would help but they didn't. I heard they were good parts but I don't know about the timing chain kits.
