Hey, I just bought a 4x4 '95 Ranger with some pretty severe rust damage located mostly just on the rear section of both frame rails. To make sure I get rid of all the irreparable metal I want to make the cuts between the bolts on the shackle mounts and weld in the new section there. Other than that, the truck is great. I want to fix this permanently, but as cheaply as possible, so I was thinking of harvesting these frame rail ends from a junk truck with less rust than mine. I was hoping you guys could help me broaden my search by telling me which years and bed/cab options have the same rear section of frame that my truck does. The front and middle section of frame doesn't matter as these parts on my truck only have surface rust and won't need replacing. The truck is a single cab 7' bed. By the way, I don't mind if there are subtle differences that won't affect strength, installation, or function.

Look for '93-'97 trucks (has to be the same cab/bed as yours). 4WD/2WD shouldn't matter.
It's very possible frames from the '83-'92 trucks might work also (they are very similar and I know the beds themselves will swap as far as the bolts lining up).
'98-'11 frames I know have some differences (they're comprised of two sections IIRC), though I can't say for sure if they'd be usable for your project or not.

Hope that helps.

That helps, thanks. So I take it that none of the SUV frames from any RBV would work? Anyone have more information on the frames of the older and newer body styles of the Ranger?
