Looking at an 01 Ranger super cab online. Can't tell from the pics (and google hasn't been my friend) but do the rear seats have seatbelts?

My credo
Leave it better than you found it.
I'm sure the rear seats have seat belts what with Federal safety regs and all. Probably just lap belts. My 1998 has lap belts in the back, just forward of the seats on the floor with the receiver to the rear of the cab.

OK cool. I figured they had to be there, just can't make them out in the pics. With kids I'll have to have them. I am guessing it's probably illegal (or impossible) to put a carseat in there?

yeah, you don't want to put a car seat in there. especially if they are side facing like mine. the seat is too small to properly balance and support the base, and I think event he ranger manual says do not use child seats in the back.

turn the airbag off and put the seat in the passenger side and stick any extra adults in the jump seats as necessary :) (that is what I do anyways)

I am kinda unsure about why any of the questions in this thread actually needed to be asked.

It has been Federal law that any position in a car that is meant to be a passenger seat must have a seat belt since at least sometime in the 1960s. The newest car that I know for sure doesn't have seat belts for all seats is my grandfathers 1947 Chrysler.

Even since 1986 when the Ranger first got an extended cab and rear seats putting a car seat in the rear has been highly discouraged. By now it is certainly illegal and might even get you charged with child endangerment.

I asked because the pictures I was seeing made it impossible to tell if they had them at all. I didn't know if there were different regs for rear sideways facing seats in trucks. I didn't figure a car seat would work back there.
