Wonder if anyone has encountered this issue where the rear back rest will not latch back into place? I’m going to take it to the stealership to have it warrantied

I believe there is a tsb on this, although I haven’t taken mine in for it (2019 Super Crew Lariat).
From what I understand for the tsb the rear “hook” on the back panel needs to come out a bit further to latch on easier.

I know I have the issue as the first time I needed to pull down the seat it didn’t want to latch back as easy as it should have. A good “push” when closing it will work, but there seems to be a sweet spot for it to catch. I hated when first trying to close it by slamming it.

The dealer should be able to resolve with the tsb fix.

There is a known issue with this. Mine will latch if I slam the seat back into position but others aren't so fortunate. There is a TSB on it.

The 2021 models still have this issue. My brand new Tremor has this problem.

My credo
Buy it, build it, and drive it like you stole it
Seems like a constant problem. I have to slam mine up as well. But seems to latch with a swift swing. But should be easier than this.

Too lazy to look right now, but I recall the TSB “fix” involved a needle and thread hack-job (no dis-credit to the shop folks, it was the instructions provided).

I haven’t needed the fix but I’ve also only had the back seat down twice in 2 years…

Had this issue with mine. It will only latch if I close it with some force with my hand directly over the latch in the middle. Fortunately I have no reason to go behind the seat now that it's latched.

New to this forum I had the same thing truck is only a week old. Notice the only way it latches you need to put some force to make it latch.
