Forgive for this partial repost. I posted last week about some differential fluid change questions. I may have been too long winded. Mostly I am concerned about just one part of my larger post (Here it is, if you're interested).
When I look at everyone else's 7.5 open differential, the fill plug is on the drivers side on the top of the differential case. It is above the wing or shelf, the flat piece of metal that sticks out horizontally in the middle of the differential case.
However, my plug is on the driver side below that wing/shelf. Is that indeed my fill plug? It seems too low.
I can post a picture if needed, but it'll have to be later tonight.
