Are you saying the adjustment that is part of the drum brake or are you talking about an adjustment on the p-brake? Kind of assume you mean the adjustment for the shoes on the brake itself....?
I believe he is referring to the star wheel adjuster for the shoes as part of the service brakes. If the brakes shoes auto adjust as they should... you typically have to loosen the star wheel adjuster to back off the brake shoes in order to remove the drum.

Yes, I was referring to the adjuster for the brake shoes, accessed from the back side of the brake plate. The parking brake should not be that tight unless you forgot to release it. :)

if the drums have fins they are 9", 10" have smooth circumferences.
My daughter's B4000 has 10" drums with fins. :p

OK, the finned drums are Aerostar drums, but it is an upgrade that some of us have done.
We will be hauling 20 - 30kg concrete bags home on Saturday, then pulling 5th wheel on Sunday, so it will take advantage of the fins capacity to shed heat.

is this what you are talking about? It has all the parts and about half what I was looking at piecing it together Centric brand

am going to Harbor Freight and get the $15 tools and will check size of drum before ordering - if you think this is the way to go w/ it

I'm going to have to bleed the brakes if I replace the wheel cylinders, right?

left side the axle is wet near the brake and I do slowly lose fluid so I'm pretty sure at least that side is bad (cyl)

Roackauto has good search software unlike a lot of them

with tax and shipping it's like $125 that seems very good. chances are I would have nothing to return. I think that's smarter than just, say, replacing 1 wheel cyl and the shoes. Once it's apart, might as well do it all and be done with it (hopefully).

edit it's this one I have 10"

I got the brake tools from Harbor Freight also a box of 7mil gloves

probably am going to want brake bleed tool that is not horrible expensive. kind of hard to do it by yourself otherwise... you can, but it's a pain

I imagine not a bad idea to run some fluid through the lines anyway it's better if it's clean when there is debris/moisture in the fluid it is not good

I'm a fan of the speed bleeder valves - they make it immensely easier to do as a one man job.

No, just back them off slightly and cycle the pedal while keeping the reservoir topped off until the line doesn't have air in it.

I would be looking at Rockauto as they typically are a lot less money for parts even after you figure in shipping.
