Hello,

Was going through the process of bleeding my brakes to get fresh fluid in the system yesterday but could not get any fluid out of the rear. In fact it looks like it's been dry! Before this I had no noticeable brake issues, truck stops fine and everything, pedal feel was good and I even remember the RABS doing it's thing this past winter. Front brakes bled just fine. Any thoughts? Possible a faulty RABS unit would cause this?

Thanks

Could be a bad RABS or a collapsed rear hose between the frame and axle.

Any tips for troubleshooting that RABS? Found the main unit under the cab. My first time dealing with something like this.

Thanks.

maybe the proportioning valve is stuck only letting front fluid through

I think I would just replace the rear hose... it's most likely north of 30 years old. Then see if it fixes the problem.

You could also just Crack the line at the master and ensure you have fluid there... then work your way rearward.

It was the ABS module. Rebuilt unit at auto store fixed it right and and brakes work better then ever. Clutch flush at the same time and the truck is running better then ever. Now for a power steering flush...
