Rangers at a Cruise In

Went to a local cruise in last nite with my stock Ranger XL. Probably 250 cars and trucks of all types. Saw these two Rangers there. 1987 4x4 second owner. Aside from lift and wheels/tires, and bucket seats and interior door panels from a 1989 Ranger, was original, paint, engine, running gear.
The little black 1897 was also original exept for the American Racing Mag Wheels. Original paint and interior. Didn't see owner so unk what engine is in it.

That's a pretty clean truck. Did those come with LTD hood ornaments?? First I've seen one.

Its funny you bring up the hood ornament. I posted a thread a while back about them being in the LMC catalog and them saying it was a factory piece. Looked just like an LTD one but had different stuff in the middle that didnt say LTD.

I’ve had problems with photo uploads too, like last night with that bearing picture. Had to crop it down so it wasn’t too “big” yet I’ve had other pictures upload just fine with no issues. Nice trucks, you should display yours. But I know what a pain it is to be sitting at a car show all day. Been thinking about taking mine, it’s far from “show quality “ but is certainly unique.

I did display mine. Although stock, with low mileage, got a lot of looks. Funny, with all the chrome and modifications around, some still like the old stock look. One of the nicest cars there was a 1965 Plymouth Fury Sport. Totally original, and looked like it was driven off the show room floor that day.
Wasen't a "show" but a run what you brung cruise in...lot of off the wall stuff. One guy even had a "racing mower" with a Honda 750cc 4 cyl motor cycle engine.

Didn't know Rangers went back that far. Really ahead if it's time compared with the other cars of 1897.
