I just was looking at the new issue today and low and behold, there was a buying guide for Rangers.

Specifically, they say look for a clean gen 3 w/ a stick and 4.0.

It was a very well done piece.

Wasn't that last months issue? There was some decent info in there, good enough to point people in the right direction for research if they were considering picking up a Ranger for off roading

that article ran in the April mag. Mays is out already here and guess what? the ranger gets a little more love. this month they have a "special section" titled "project trucks" the very first truck is a red '97 with what looks like a d44 front. she's standing tall on coil-overs, wearing a snorkel. the article says she's from NC, its gotta be someone on here
