Clean the MAF sensor, once a year, easy to do

Change the ECT(engine coolant temp) sensor, its by the thermostat housing on lower intake manifold
There are two similar devices next to each other
ECT sender, 12volt, red/white wire, ONLY used for dash board temp gauge

ECT sensor, 5volt, 2 wires, ONLY used by engine computer(PCM)

The ECT sensor is used by the computer to set Choke mode, all gasoline engines need to be choked when cold, if this sensor is reporting a warmer or colder temp than actual the engine will bog and stall until it warms up

You can test the sensor, just Google: Test Ford ECT sensor

But in my experience its just better to replace it on speculation, but have a look at its connector first, for signs of corrosion, clean it

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
Yea they'll do that...just give it a little blip of the throttle soon as it fires up. They like that.
