I have a 1996 Ford Ranger 2 wheel drive 4.0 engine... I cracked my heads and replaced them and i put the valve covers as well as the lower intake but thats as far as ive got. my passenger side exhaust went on fine but my drivers side exhaust doesnt wanna line up. if i undo the bolts leading down from the exaust would that help it to line up? and can anyone give me any instructions on how to get pass what ive already got or know where to find out? I got work soon and i need my truck to go and its getting dark please help!!!!

Thats what I would do. Loosen them on both sides. They probably got pushed it pivoted at the joint.
