My 4.0 OHC 2010 Ranger just died at 60 MPH (175,000 miles). Suspected rear timing, pulled the engine and discovered the shear pin at the front of the crank had sheared off. This caused some grooves in the crank from the front timing gear. Engine is out, any suggestions on repairing this? Years ago they could be welded and machined, not sure how that hold up though.
Hard to see the grooves in the picture.
