Range Bag. What Do You Pack?

Just curious to see what everyone takes with them when they go shooting. I have two sets of eye protection, multiple pairs of foam ear plugs, gun, ammo, cleaning supplies and spare magazines.
This is bag Im using now. Would like to find a replacement for it though since I never intended to use it as a range bag.

basically the same stuff you mentioned. but i usually go to buddies houses or my grandparents farm to do my shooting, so i like to freeze water in milk jugs or other big plastic bottles (milk jugs work best). take a box cutter, cut the plastic off and voila, dirt cheap exploding targets (and you can still recycle the plastic to keep the hippies happy). i usually shoot from 100-500 yards with my .308, so it's fun to have someone set up the ice blocks at random ranges for you, then try to guess the range and hit it.

My range bag consists of:
Spare Mags (2 compacts, 2 extended mags)
Mag reloader
Ammo (depends on if I'm going to a range or farm decides amount)
Eyes
Ears
Bore Snake
Bore Snake Oil
Cloth Diapers (works great for a gun rag)
targets (sometimes)
stapler w/ staples (sometimes)
Leatherman Multitool

Redbull or Mountain Dew, poptarts, and water. lol

yeah... I have the one that came with my XDm.. I want to check out the aftermarket one tho. Someone has told me there is NO comparison

Thats interesting. Ive never really thought about using one other than what came with my xd.

Anybody got a Butler Creek LULA? I've read lots of reviews that says it's the shizzle. I've just got a basic one that came with my Beretta. For $30, it looks pretty awesome. Anything is better than the condition of my thumbs when I tried to load both of my magazines manually.

Never heard of it myself. Looked it up on amazon and it's got 5 stars after over 1000 reviews so it must be pretty nice. May have to look into it some more.

I have a good size stack-on toolbox to keep all my stuff in. I like the box because it is tough and has lots of room in it.

My "speed reloader"

I mainly just have ammo and safety stuff out with me when shooting smokeless stuff, it is easier to walk 200 yards and work on things on my kitchen table than on the tailgate of my truck if there is a problem. My inline needs stripped and cleaned after 2 shots so I have to have cleaning stuff for it. The '58 pistols will run without fault for about 4-5 complete 5 shot cylinders before the pin and center cylinder holes need cleaned. They still shoot fine but it takes a lot more force to cock the hammer... usually by then I am about done anyway. The '51 and '60 Colts with the bigger grooved pin will go longer (which is why the military stuck with them and later the '73's as well)

Ok Daniel, you made me break out a project today. We used to sell instruments in Pelican cases. They scrapped them all when we quit making them so I snagged one. I spent some time this afternoon with some foam and a very sharp knife making:

Pistol, extra mag, two 50 round boxes of 9's, and the mag loader fit.
