Thanks! Ya it’s been amazing being surrounded by such a talented group. It may see some desert action, but mostly Sierra mountain range trails. I’ll likely eventually put some 2.5 bypasses and bumps up front, then it may do decent in the desert stuff. But that’s what the 97 is for. That truck is doing ok, put in that fancy new clutch and it has such an intense spring compared to the old one that it broke the shaft for the master cyl. I’ll fix it soon hopefully.Alec, this is looking absolute beef...always knew your knowledge and skills are tip top. Whoever has assisted in this build you guys are just excellent. Will this ranger see any desert action? Don't mean to the moon jumps, having fun? How's the 97 doing?
Definitely a lot of axle for a little trail rig lol. Those may be some of the prettiest pictures of an axle I have ever seen.
Color me jealous!
Thanks! Yes it’s getting rock slider tomorrow possibly. Hoping to exo cage it this winter.Truly amazing work alec. See it now before those rocks and trees jump out at you. Will you do some rock sliders? Perhaps an exo cage ? Im sure that 5.0 will get some work done to keep up with those axles and tires.
I’d like to add a winch, but I also like the bumper. So I gotta find a creative way to integrate one. First wheeling trip is in one week. You're certainly on top of this, well...not putting it on its roof. This will be a whole new type of off road experience for you. Driving fast in the desert to now cruising on mountain trails. Let's take a guess, do I see a winch installed onto this build?
Ya hopefully will have the 97 going soon, want to take both of them to KOH next year.Way cool..excited for you. I believe you have made you 97 envy this ranger. Gotta get the 97 going to show it respect by thrashing on it.
Here is a thought..make a similar upper bar in front of the grille for it similar to the 97. Find a way to have it structured strong enough to the current bumper and frame...off course with reinforcement plates.
