R6 axle swap, price, what to look for?

So,
It appears to be an 8.8 with 4.10 gears, and was manufactured in October 22, 1993.

does that sound about right?

My apologies, but if I started another thread, then I would get "hate" replies for starting another thread on differentials.

No, you wouldn't. You might catch some flack if you posted in the wrong section. You might get a little ribbing if the answer was easily searchable or front page news. You would not catch hate for starting a new thread to post your questions.

With a post count of 32 since May, you aught to know that already.

@Glacier_Ranger I understand your frustration. Threads get hijacked and go off topic all the time. Sometimes you just have to deal with it and try to steer things back in the right direction. Sorry, I can't help you with your questions.
