its rack and pinion steering of course, and whats loose is the arm/joint that connects the steering column to the steering rack.
if i open the hood and grab this arm with my hand, i can wiggle it around easily. the rubber boot has been long torn away, so its obvious this joint has dried out and worn out.
ive been soaking the couple bolts to get it out of there, and i think i have the right part on order... but i just wanted to make sure this is going to be a feasible project to do.
also, what is this arm or knuckle called? we had a difficult time explaining it to the parts guys
