Bloody thing reminds me of a Subie Brat!
The brat actually looked kinda neat. The car/truck/thing pictured... it is like the bumper is off a different car. It doesn't fit with the headlights/grille at all.

They oughta revive the panther platform and stick a bed on the back and a coyote up front.

That would be a "caruck" i could get behind.

It really is pretty awful looking! Still, the concept doesn't have to look as dumb as that.

Concepts usually look dumber than the production vehicle...

Would it be sales worthy:

if it was roughly the same size as the older Ranger?

Had a Max payload of 1200 lbs
Tows 2,700 to 3,500 lbs

Came in front wheel drive with an all wheel drive option with no transfer case

Unibody construction

Single - extended - crew cab

Gas or strong hybrid

15 or 16 inch rims max

Thoughts?
Honda broke the ground and did the leg work with the Ridgeline. I think there would be a market for people don't need a body on frame or 4WD low. I'm sure there are plenty of Urban and Suburbanites the would buy it. People who never see anything worse than a gravel road generally really don't need either of those things that define a classic truck.

I think Ford would do better with an Escape/ Transit based truck for the Courier... and have optional awd. Fleetwise, that would be a win. fairly cheap if you go the "S" trim level, and my guess is that they could price it under 15k. Not all fleets need totally enclosed trucks like the transit/ escape, and that gives the option of hauling a refrigerator or a small load of mulch. As listed above, a perfect suburbanite multipurpose vehicle.

Oh, you'd be behind it, alright! Especially with your 2.9!

Just for that
