I am wondering if I could use this to pull blowby/air/crap out of the crankcase. Since its just puffing into nowhere and Id like to turn it into something useful. Like a air pump to pull the blowby out of my motor and out of the way of the cab. Like out the back of the truck or something. Right now, Ive got one of those small air filter things pushed into the PCV hole in the valve cover and it helps. As if filter out the poppy stench of the blow by.

That was so damn funny, I forgot to laugh...... I dont think a briggs would really mate with the toyo 5 speed... neither would a 2150 carb.

Oh, and wrong again! 😘😘

So.... add a smog pump on that beast, and you'll be at like 20hp - I mean, thats like a 50% upgrade over a 2.8!

Why not just remove the pump so it's not sitting there wasting horsepower and hook the PCV system back up?

+1

A non-AC 2.8 power steering belt will fit without the pump.

You need to run the PCV valve. It's not a negative emissions device, it's a good thing and extends the life of your engine. It pulls all that stinky dirty stuff out of the engine and lets the engine burn it. Makes your oil much cleaner and engine wear is much less and it also helps with minor oil leaks. Your carb is calibrated for the PCV valve. Get the proper one for your engine and run it.
