Can you give an idea of how much better the EOM brake rotors are compared to aftermarket rotors? Looks like I'm set to replace my rotors ('99 Mazda b2500) and was suggested to get the factory Ford rotors. My friend just did his rotors and I watched him do it. One thing was he got new grease caps and the new grease caps would not fit back on. A lot of hammering and using punch to finally get on. Aside from that it was an easy job. I know you get what you pay for, but in this case are the after-market rotors good to go for another 180K miles? (which is where I'm at.)

I’ve done aftermarket for years. The place not to skimp is the brake pads.

That being said, the dust caps being difficult to put back on concerns me a little. Aftermarket or OEM, they should tap back in place without modification. If I were you, I would test fir the caps before installing the rotors and take them back if they don’t go right back in. If the screwed up there, where else did they screw up?
