i have a 1990 ranger reg cab, and am curious as to how much the demensions of the beds of the truck have changed over the years.......might be a dumb question, but a buddy has a newer ranger than i have, maybe late 90's ext cab, and has a special box that goes in the back of it made to fit. it fills his entire bed and rest's on the bedrail. if i have my info correct his bed is around 72 inches long, not sure on the depth, and or width. my bed is longer than 72 inches, might be 84. have not measured it, and my buddy does not live close and wants to sell me this box. does anyone know of a website that has all the demensions of the truckbed's for all the years of rangers? is the bed length the only thing that's changed over the years? so pretty much what i'm asking is will this box still fit in my truck bed???? i can live with a 12 inch gap between the cab and the box if that's the only difference....???

sorry if it's a dumb question, but i have tried finding the demensions online and haven't been too successful.

thanks in advance....

there were only three bed sizes available ever on the rangers, the short bed (6') long bed (7') and step side. the inner bed shells have stayed virtually exactly the same throughout the years, the main differences being the bedsides and tailgates.

the difference between the short bed and long bed are that the long bed has an extra 6" in front of the axle and 6" behind the axle

only if it was a '90-92 bed, '93+ beds are all the same other than the tail lights for the most part... some mazda's have a couple different body lines too...

92 was last year of that body design & 93+ is the next body style.

Beds & cabs will work on the oppisite styled years ,but again the body lines wont match.

I have even seen a guy that installed a 91 cab & bed onto a 2000 Frame

Not to be too much of a butt; but, asking the same question twice will not change the answers.

There are only three different bed interiors/sizes - ever!!! Long, short and stepside. The difference between the long and short is length about a foot.

If you want a web site try qoogle. It will give you a list.

Guys, relax! hnoor0066 is a spam bot and already been dealt with. The thread was revived from 2008 and died in 2010. The spam bot copied and pasted from the OP to get in the door, it's not an uncommon tactic for them these days.
