I've looked on all the threads i could find but none of them seem to get me even close. I need to find the PCV valve on my 2007 2.3L I4. PICTURES WOULD BE BEST. But if you have a really detailed description it might help too. I've looked all over this engine and I can't seem to find the damn thing. Can anyone help me?

IIRC it is a purple colored plastic valve located on the drivers side of the engine block. You can get at it through the inner fender.

  1. Remove the LH front wheel and tire.
  2. Remove the left front inner fender splash shield.
  3. Disconnect the coolant bypass hose from the routing clip.
  4. Gently pry the PCV valve cap off the 2 tabs.
  5. Remove the PCV valve from the crankcase vent oil separator and disconnect the vacuum hose.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

The PCV is number 3 in that picture, the PCV valve cap is number 2

Hope that helps.
