Like the title says, I accidentally hit the clutch instead of the brake when rolling my 92 ranger when I had the engine out. I reinstalled the engine and didnt think much of it. Now I have a pretty soft pedal and the clutch barely disengages and when it disengages its right off the floor. the pedal also seems to sit lower than before, right about even with the brake pedal.

I will probably try bleeding it but im wondering if I didnt screw up the slave cylinder when I hit the clutch with the engine out.

also it seems like the clip on the rod in the master cylinder must have broken, I can lift the clutch pedal a good 2", is this replaceable individually or do I need to replace the whole master?

I remember reading in the manual a couple of days ago. Something about do not hit the clutch pedal with the slave disconnected or it can ruin the master cylinder. I guess that is what they are talking about. I think I was looking up the bleeding procedure for someone else.

master and slave were still connected in my case.
