We never had an issue with the 2.3 in the Mustang but the 2.0 or 1.8 what ever it is in the wife's Escape got a CEL, she brought it in and they said the coolant was gone and didn't know where it went. Wound up changing a emissions hose gave it back 5 days later. Car has never missed, sputtered, or nothing else. Runs perfect.
It took your dealer 5 days to replace a minor part that doesn't carry coolant because you were loosing coolant?
No sir, They took five days looking for the problem and speaking to Ford. Did leak down, compression, test drive ect… We dropped it on a Thursday evening, and got it back the Wed. so really three days to be fair. That line may have been what triggered the CEL, and they noticed the coolant issue. 42,000 miles I sure never would have looked accept during a routine oil change.

That makes far more sense. The evap purge valve on the 4-cyl Ecoboosts are a problem as well, and on the Escapes they sit very near a crimped T in a heater hose that is also a known problem spot for leaks.
