It's been around 2 and a half years now and I finally got myself a new (to me) ranger to start building. I paid $900 for this one, had 260K on the odometer but she she still ran, although pretty rough. The slave cylinder was trashed and the guy selling the truck though the clutch was out... oh and there was a cherry 4.0L in the back of the truck that he was going to swap in with a new clutch. :icon_thumby:

So i snagged all this up for 900 bucks, took it home, spent about $600 in parts, a couple of weekends, some pain and frustration and a whole lot of degreaser and simple green....

And here she sits today:

The plan's are (but, of course are not limited to):

4" brackets, 6" SJ coils, extreme drop pitman, f250 shock mounts, ext. radius arms, SJ 6" leaves + shackles, 33x12.5's on 15x8 and a regear to 4.56

My goal is to do all this for less than 4k including the purchase price.

Here's what i have so far after spending around $300-350:

Thanks to Maverick here on TRS, I got the Saginaw P/S from my original ranger and put in in last weekend. He held on to it for 2+ years just for me! :headbang:

Oh and i had the original Redtop from my old ranger too.. *sniff*.. so sentimental :icon_rofl:

I hear XJ coils are too soft for the S/C 4.0L.. I want decent street performance as well. Plus, thanks to Chommers here on TRS, I got a smokin deal on tuff country brackets and SJ coils. :icon_cheers:

33's for reliability and again, decent street handling.
