Project: Putting a Dana 44 TTB on a '03 Ranger XLT. -HELP

So I got my hands on a Dana 44 TTB from an old F-150, my plan is to put it on my 03 Ranger. I know there are conversion kits to take a Dana 44 out of a Bronco/F-150 and fit them on the second generation rangers, but I have a 3rd generation ranger. What do I have to do to get it on my 03 Ranger? Is it worth it? Has anyone here done it before?

You have a 4th gen Ranger. Gen 3 was 1993 to 1997.


You can probably do it, but you will at a minimum need the front third of a TTB frame.

Just find a whole TTB frame and put your body on it and powertrain in it.

Better yet do a lot of research and reading and SAS what you have.
