Things are picking up, so I got the bed and fenders primed and ready for final sanding also did the rear of the cab. I will have to final paint the front of the bed and the lower half of the cab before I can put the bed back on the frame.
Yahooo, I picked up my paint the other day so it's sitting here ready to go.
The green paint I chose has some pearl and metallic in it but the vendor I bought the paint from put the same additives in my yellow paint and it doesn't show up.so I wanted some sparkle in the paint so I bought some micro metallic additive that I can add to the first coat of clear. I'm hoping that this will give the whole paint job a little sparkle. We'll see

My credo
Lead follow or get out of my way
I grew up on the other side of the automotive repair isle. I never learned the finer points of body work and paint... makes me slightly envious.

It's got to be a good feeling to be close to putting color on. My rough carpenter approach of... do your best and caulk the rest... has no place in what you have going on here.

Good luck!

Thanks, this is my third attempt at redoing a cars exterior so I'm no expert by any means. I do enjoy the challenge of trying to accomplish what my mind thinks up.(they are not always the same). This was a fun project and I was able to do a little custom body work. I'm coming down to the wire , should have color on it next week. Been working on painting the the custom stripe that will separate the colors. Thanks for looking..

Well here it is, almost finished. Only a few details to finish up. Still have to buff out the paint but waiting for cooler weather.
