It remains to be seen if I gotta follow through on this often repeated threat.

Tired of having to make it though.

I've offered several compromises. The last was that the Ranger is in the garage for a few days when bylaw comes to inspect the completed yard so I can keep it here. Initially she agreed but after a bit decided she wants her car in the garage in case of vandals or thieves. Which is a bs excuse.
I'm running out of options and told her so.
Ultimately she wants everything her way and I'm sick of having to throw away my hard work and money to appease her. If I choose to appease her again I pretty much have to start over from scratch. This would be the 3rd time for me.
She can't afford the mortgage without my help so she could stand to be more reasonable. She wants me to stay, of course.
Truth is, I don't think bylaw will ever go away though. The harassment won't stop until one or both of us leave here. If I stay I need to lawyer up and threaten legal action to end the harassment which hardly seems worthwhile.

Going is the path of least resistance.

Well today was finally "toast out the F350 day." In the end, all I'm keeping are the front D60, wheels (tires are pretty dryrotted) and some odds and ends.
I'm just out of time and patience with this whole bylaw ordeal. I get a new reminder how many days I have left about every day from the gf. Its kind of unpleasant now since time is really running out.

Does anybody have any idea why this D60 equipped F350 would have one TTB bracket in it?

I'm finally impressed with my front axle choice. This thing is a monster.

Is the bracket for a track bar?

Its on the back part of the crossmember where it hangs down a lot, pretty much where the TTB bracket would be. Doesn't appear to have been used by the factory although its slightly bent from where it should be. I'll take a couple more pix.

In looking at the pictures, it appears to have been used at some point but there aren't other signs of TTB having been mounted. You are probably right RockRanger, that there may have been a track bar mounted. I've added pix of extra brackets on the axle.

Right, under the axle.

Left, at the back of the axle tube.

Looks like you got the cream of the crop! You found a King Pin D60.
That's the axle all the rock bouncers look for.

I'm pretty happy with this axle, Rowdy. It seems in fair shape so far and probably much heavier duty than I think I'll need. Although I doubt I'll be able to rebuild it without the big money parts anyways.

Its got me wondering about my rear axle choice now. For some reason I've started thinking about the 15 bolt conversion from TMR Customs.

I've seen this kit on a rock bouncer actually so I know its sturdy. :icon_welder:

TV's Extreme 4X4 did a segment about the 14 bolt that has me seeing it as something more than a boat anchor. http://www.powerblocktv.com/episode/XT2011-09/14-bolt-axle-101-low-dollar-wheeler-part-3

Ya, I know I ragged on it before. :dunno:

Very minor update.

I still have the Ranger and Bronco II. The Ranger is hiding in the garage and the B-II is stored temporarily at the gf's sisters (thats supposed to end next weekend.)
The yard is mostly ready for bylaw to inspect it but for some reason the dude hasn't been back yet. He was supposed to be here on the 11th. Until then its still a work in progress I guess.
She wants me to get one of those portable garages to store one here out of the neighbors line of sight. The other should go elsewhere.

After bylaw signs off on the yard I'm going to take advantage of the use of the garage to try to install the front 60 before it goes into storage for winter.

Its still on as a project. Don't give up yet...

Helped my buddy take his old Chebby to the junkyard today. Used several comealongs to get it loaded up but it was worth it in the end.
