Get on the gas again it starts shaking really bad. I got within 25 feet of my driveway and bang the check engine light flashes 3 times and turns off. I park it. Let it run there in park for a pit idles fine. It just will not move without really shaking. rev it up in neturel and I can hear a faint clunk from underneath the truck. Could it be rear end, Tranny, u joint, what please help.

It doesn't sound mechanical. I'd do a quick visual for an obvious vacuum leak, and then do some electrical diagnostics if that doesn't turn something up.

transmissions, rear ends, etc wont flash a CEL. if a visual inspection doesnt turn anything up, you need to get the codes pulled.

Just got a call They said they fixed it. But idk have not got it yet. Plugs, wires, and fuel filter. and it has 93K miles on it. all original but RS5000 shocks put on last year and the routine fluid changes and air filter change.

Ok for an update. I got it back runs good as new. they replaced the PCV valve, Fuel Filter, Sparkplugs, Wires, and tuned electronic ignition. I guess it just needed a routine tuneup.

Good to hear it wasn't anything major. :)

care to elaborate on this part?

my guess is you had a spark plug wire pop loose on you. those other items dont usually just fail out of the blue, there would be a gradual decrease in driveability.

check compression, inspect ignition cables, adjust timing and idle speed.

sounds like your shop was yanking your leg just a little...timing and idle speed arent adjustable.

no biggie, i was just wondering what they considered "tuning" the ignition.
