I have a 91 4.0 i plan to swap into my 83 ranger but has high miles, and burns oil, i also have a 93 4.0 that has 100000 less miles, but the small amount of work ive put into diagnoseing it hasent got things right. Would you use the lower mile engine or just build the 91 block. Im having a hard time deciding, just spend the money on a rebuild, or track down the issue on a 120000 mile motor. Bonus to the 91 block is it could be bored to 4 inches for possible future noises hint hint.
