Premium sound

My bronco II is an Eddie Bauer, and i was told by the local sterio shop that it has premium sound. Most of the wires I figured out, but I cant find anyhting about the factory amp wiring. here's what I know so far:

grn/yellow - constant 12
yellow/blk - acc 12
blue/red - illumination
black - ground
grey bundle of wires with 8 female connectors - speakers (have adapter)

Here's what I dont know:

solid red wire - ?
solid blue wire - ?
oj/black wire - ?

All the wires besided the ones in the grey bundle are loose. those extra wires must have something to do with the factory amp, but I don't want to hook it up backwards and fry it...

That's pretty much the info I've been finding everywhere... I cant find anything about the factory amp though...

OK, I misunderstood what it was you were wanting. Are you wanting to use it or bypass the amp? My Explorer had a factory amp, and I bought a bypass harness for around 10 dollars. Took all the guesswork out of it.

I wasn't planning to bypass the amp, seems like it'd just be easier to power it if I could figurre out what wires I need to hook where..

I wasn't planning to bypass the amp, seems like it'd just be easier to power it if I could figurre out what wires I need to hook where..

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you hook that amplifier up to a newer stereo, you will overpower it and get tons of distortion. I'm pretty sure the factory deck was a low power out.

ok solid red is amp positive, black and orange is amp negative, solid blue is the amp power on wire.

Well I hooked the solid blue up to the amp out on the back of the headunit and everyhting started working... Guess I dont need the red or blk/oj wires hooked up...
