Hi all, I'm wanting to build a Baja style light bar for the top of my DD.

I'm wondering if its possible to securely mount it without drilling, like with some sort of roof rack door seal mount or something along those lines, so that it doesn't get ripped off and kill someone.

I have a 1990 Ranger Extra Cab.

I want something like this design, only mounted directly above my windshield.

Any ideas/advice or links to products would be a great help.

Thank you.

Build a headache rack for the bed and use some him joints or bushings as pivots, then you have a little more protection in case of a roll and also no holes to drill in the cab

Thanks! I actually changed the design to this exact idea about a week ago. Thanks for the help!

No problem, you have a build thread for this truck or is this for the red one?

My credo
I need more sleep.
I was debating on doing that style right above the roof, but I'm getting the roll bars in the bed and putting the lights on them. But you could have the supports in the bed, then have bars come out to the front window and put some sort of bushing in between the roof and the bars. With my skills with MS paint, I give you a picture!

And I'm going to be an Engineer....Lol
But that's the general idea, probably some more bushings and crossmembers though.
Something like these rubber blocks you could cut out the shape of the bar in there.

Yes, this is my plan. Thanks!
