yeah, I know they aren't everybody's favorite, spin-outs and other handling quirks.
just kicking around ideas for the 2000 that is turning into a beater due to rust.

it's a 3.0 so I'm not worrying about brute force breaking anything.

Why would you want to back up?! You've been there already, always go forward!

Always remeber, before you give up all hope and resort to backing up...

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
Every time torque is applied to the carrier, the cross pin forces the two halves of the locker apart and locks the diff. Doesn’t matter if it’s forward or reverse. It does the same thing. I like my Aussie lockers. Haven’t had any surprises or problems driving with them.

The arb air locker is a great concept. Fully locked when you need it, open diff when you dont. Pricey though. I had a astro van with a factory G80. It also had a high idle and it the winter would like to push you through stop signs and not corner on slick spots. Got into the habit of pushing it into neutral at stops and corners. Wasnt fun. Most vans are more fun parked.

well, every now and then I get into a situation where I say to myself I probably shouldn't have gone this far...

I'm usually not driving when that happens :shok:
