Possible frame issues or body just slid over?

I was taking a good look at my truck today. Noticed that the front part of the cab looks like it is pushed over on the frame. Like it is not centered on the frame. The bed looks center on the frame but it's only seems like it's only from the grille to the rear of the front fender. It doesn't seem like the body mounts have been touched however. Is there a good way to measure the relation of the frame to the body without using a frame rack?

Here are some pics of what I'm talking about. I can get better pics if need be.

Looks more like the front bumper brackets have moved...due to some rust or loose bolts? It does not look like the body has moved to me in those photos.

I agree with Cat. I think it's far more likely that the bumper has been off at some point and was not lined up very well.

I adjusted the bumper right after I bought the truck. So any misadjustment there was, I would have taken care of it. It did seem like someone had the bumper off, there was one broken bolt on the driver side bracket. But my reasoning is that it looks like the fender is farther out over the driver's side tire than the passenger side. I'll have to find a tape measure and find some reference point to show what I mean.

Do you know if the truck was ever involved in a fender bender...or worse?

Have you had it aligned yet? The camber and thrust angle can tell you a lot about what may be going on.

It would be easier (for me anyway) to see your tire in the pic of the drivers side. From that pic you posted, if you told me it was on a jack and you had the tire off, I'd believe you.

Driver side:

Passenger:

Relative camber of both sides:

I also measured off the top of the spring bucket to the edge of the fender and I got a difference of 1.625 inches. That is how much more it is over on the driver's side. Could a broken core support contribute to this issue? The passenger side of he support is cracked and not attached to the body mount.

One more thing. Your drivers side tire appears to be skinnier than the passenger. Are they the same brand/size?

All the same. Douglas 215/75/15. I'm really thinking it is the core support the more that I look at it. I'll have to take it in for an alignment too to be sure that it is just a body issue.

It appears from your pics that the bed and cab line up OK. Have you measured the distance between the bed and cab on both sides? From your description it sounds like maybe the front is tweaked to the side... maybe a result of a collision from the side. If that were the case, it may require a frame rack.

Ok a bit off topic but how did you get your lenses so clean? Consider me jelly.

I did not actually measure that. Will do tomorrow when I get a chance.

That's easy. I got new ones. And I got them for a hell of a deal.
