Hi I’m looking for some advice about my front inner axle seal. my go to general repair shop doesn’t want to change it because they don’t want to take the whole diff apart blah blah blah but recommended me to a specialty shop that can’t get me in for 2 weeks. This is the last thing I need to have my truck on the road again, but I wondered if I kept it in 2wd so that the hubs we’re unlocked, if I could drive it to school and back until the shop can get me in. I really don’t want to burn out my front diff lol so please share your knowledge. Thanks!

If your Ranger is in 2WD and the hubs are unlocked, the front differential will not be spinning. So you should be fine.
