Thanks for the info. I am going to try some "engine restore" to try and get my compression up. I found another motor I may rebuild before this one gives out

If you’re able to do so, a leak down test can be very helpful in this scenario. You can probably use the hose or spark plug adapter to connect to an air compressor and position the #1 cylinder at TDC. You’ll be able to hear air leaking out and it will help you determine if your loss is at the valves or rings.

Got it going. Upgraded to the pertronix and flamethrower coil and she's running. Tuning everything out now. I appreciate the help and info from everyone!
