A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
My thermostat is 22 years old... and I say REPLACE it, whether it needs it or not.

Sometimes--albeit rare--R0ck@uto will send the wrong part... got a new Gates #33479, marked 52mm, and it "looks" a tad small... but I don't really know, since I've never changed it on this Ranger, or on my long-ago 3.0 Taurus. (Also, AMAZON says it's the wrong part...?) Did I get the correct part?

Hi. I never measured mine. Ordered it, installed it. No problem. I might have an extra I could measure this weekend.

Oops. Sorry. My brain was running in "sieve" mode that day. I have 3 here that all fit. All measure just under 2 1/8" outside diameter. They are stamped "54mm". That's a Motorcraft RT 1152. And a Stant 45358

Rock Auto bastiges!... thanks much! Much Grass! Day-um, don't think I've ever had a "go-back" w/ Rock... hope they're cool about it.

>>> ROCKauto has a Stant # 13859 ... 2.125" dia... 195degF...??

But their MOTORCRAFT # is indeed RT 1152... I mean 22 years on the original, might have to splurge for it.

DAY-um, first "issue" in 15 years, and they're stiff-arming me with the "30 days too bad so sad" crap... do they still have a "forum" on here???

A: yes they DO!... but they still haven't answered a simple brake line question from Feb. 2013!!... so color me a pessimist, I'm skee-rewed :mad:

YEP, just a co-inkee-dink... finally borrowed caliper mic, it's 54.01mm... gonna use the Motorcraft, even though $14... as opposed to generic for $10...
